Environmental Liability Management, Inc. (ELM) started providing consulting services in 1989 and has experienced steady growth since that time. ELM was founded on the premise that the pathway to resolving environmental concerns was often fraught with regulatory and technical uncertainties, leading in many cases to excessive data collection, remediation, and costly compliance programs. Our growth and success continues to be built upon providing our clients with cost-effective management options to meet these concerns.

At ELM we control technical, engineering and regulatory uncertainties through the development of an integrated weight-of-evidence approach to support management options that yield the highest benefit in relation to cost. All projects are directed by an ELM principal and supported by a well rounded, and continually trained staff of environmental and engineering professionals.

ELM maintains our corporate offices in Princeton, New Jersey with additional offices in Boonton, New Jersey and Holicong, Pennsylvania. We primarily service the Mid-Atlantic and New England areas, although client needs have extended our service area well outside of the Northeast United States and into Canada. Similar services are provided to the New York service area by Environmental Liability Management of New York, L.L.C. Our office here is conveniently located in the Fisk Building on West 57 th Street to service our NYC based attorney and developer clients.

ELM also provides civil and site engineering services out of our Princeton office under the registered name of Princeton Planning & Engineering (PP&E). This division of ELM provides more conventional civil engineering services associated with real property development and re-development activities. These services complimenttheenvironmental services we currently provide on Brownfield projects, or for stand-alone development projects. Environmental inventory and planning projects are completed by Environmental Planning Consultants (EPC), another operating division of ELM.
